Snow Storms Again

Saturday, February 26th, 1994

As we feverishly picked away the last bits of dirty ice from last month’s plethora of chilly snow storms, a new, more violent and vengeful family of blizzards came to stay, reminding us of just how insignificant our hard work can be.

Our labors – namely the clear driveway – were lost once more in ten inches of bright white snow.

Winter’s Spring Tease

Wednesday, February 16th, 1994

Winter.
Tonight, winter teases with a warm, spring-like evening.
The ground, softened by today’s gentle sunshine,
Freshens the whispering breeze
With hints of floral aromas and traces of green grassy futures.
Spring.

Winter.
Just as a matron might tantalize with skimpy lacey clothing,
So winter does the same with temperatures so out of season.
Spring.

Winter.
Paradise after hell,
Reward after punishment,
Play after work,
Marriage after single hood,
Shower after exercise,
Make up after break up.
Spring
