Dear [Carlene J]

Yes, I know what you mean on the flying. Last time I made the trip to Dayton, it was roughly $200. But I’ve heard that these days, the airfare can be as high as $400. Quite a bit more than bus fare. But it seems to be worth it.

I’ve ridden the bus from here to there. 13 hours!! Overnight!! And people are very rude at 2:00 AM when waiting to re board the bus in Pittsburgh. :–)) Riding that bus is quite risky in terms of one’s health. The train might be a good alternative. But the closest it comes to Dayton is Cincinnati. One of these days, I hope to try it out.

Well, take care. I’m off to get ready for this weekend’s release.

Hi   [Carlene J]!

No, not a promotion. But yes, I have been performing that role in CAP for the past couple years. However, now, I’ve added several other apps to the list of things I support and lead efforts on. And now that my manager has announced it, these duties are now “officially” my responsibility, whatever THAT means. :—))

So, when you gonna come to Philly for a visit? Lots of sights to see and fine places to eat down here. And I’d love to show some of them to you. I met Bob D back in January when he was in town for a soccer convention. He works in Building one out there on the main campus. We had lunch at the Redding Terminal Market in center-city, and he thoroughly enjoyed himself.

Chris,

Thanks for sending me this web page URL. Really looks nice.

All is well here. Raining and gray today. But yesterday was very sunny and somewhat warm. All in all, a nice weekend.

Hi Diane.

It is raining here too. All dreary and gray. Ah well, I guess after the beautiful day we had yesterday, a little rain is tolerable.

I just talked with Mom a little while ago. She’s looking into getting a computer and I’ve been looking around for her. She’s not going to buy one immediately. But once she gets all here money issues organized, then she may think about it.

I’m still studying for the next Microsoft exam, and have reached the half-way point in the course materials. I hope to take that exam in mid May.

Really looking forward to getting home for Easter. I really need a vacation. :–) The train ride is always so enjoyable. I’ll be there for almost a week.

Well, I’m going to go for now. Take care and will talk again with you soon.

Later.

Tom
