Lynn The Democrat
Monday, October 4th, 1999Dear [Lynn],
So, if I’m reading this right, you are democrat? Even if we have our political affiliations in common, I’m sure we’ll find plenty to debate about. But I never debate. I ALWAYS agree. Agreeing is fun, and I love having fun.
Not too windy here this morning, although the temp did dip to the mid 30s last night. And it was therefore, quite chilly in my bedroom. Not that that was a big deal – the waterbed has a heater that kept me toasty. But tonight, will have to turn up the thermostat a bit further.
A gaggle? So, you were entertaining a flock of geese?
Anyway, it indeed does sound like guy heaven. Were there no men present?
Hmmm. Let me guess. The wines were much more popular than the teas.
The day here has been great so far. Tonight, after work, I’m going to the health food store and buy some more spaghetti sauce, soups, rice drink, and miso. Some miso (buckwheat in particular) is good to eat right out of the bag. But small doses are advised. It contains much salt, and can make you pucker.
Dear J: 1999-10-04
Monday, October 4th, 1999Hi [J].
Just getting ready to make some lunch. This morning has been quite a challenge on the software front. Some of the infrastructure components that my software package relies upon, were modified last week. But the changes made by numerous other groups in our organization were not effectively communicated to the rest of us. So, this morning, our build processes failed miserably.
But all the changes in my stuff needed to support these infrastructure modifications have been made and the builds have completed successfully for this week.
Life is good.
How’s your day going?

Cousin’s Wedding
Monday, October 4th, 1999Dear sister Mary Ann,
Hey there.
Oh, things are going well here. I’ll be coming home for our cousin’s wedding. The train gets to Altoona on 10/22/1999 @ 8:00 PM. I cannot wait.
Talk to you soon,
Tom
Dear Sister Mary Ann: Eudora
Monday, October 4th, 1999Mary Ann,
I have a writer friend who uses Eudora. She says that, as far as she knows, Eudora does not do spell checking. And she’s used it for several months.
Now some email readers that run on Windows 98, may allow you to install Microsoft Word, or some other word processor, and then when you write new email messages, they allow you to do it in the word processor. That way, you can use all the features of that word processor, including spell checking.
However, it appears that Eudora itself, does not provide spell checking functionality.
Will respond to the note you sent me last week in the next few days.
Later,
Tom Hesley
