Dear Sister Joann: 1999-10-05

Hi Jo.

No problem on the caps. I was just wondering why you were shouting all the time. :-) But then, come to think of it, in person, you typically do talk somewhat loudly. :-) Just remember that this average guy said that.

Anyway, the day went superbly. Or, it superbly went. Not sure at this point. :-) We had only minor build issues today with the software. All of those were straightened out by 9:00 AM. And the company wrote an article about me and their “home basing experiment,” as some like to call it. ‘twas quite flattering, and will be printed in the company newsletter this month. Nice to have a few highly positioned allies in Dayton, relatively speaking. They help make sure the rest of the company doesn’t forget about me, since I work so far away. There’s even going to be a picture of me sitting here in the home office in the article. I took it with my new digital camera. Came out pretty well.

Just got back from Neshaminy Mall a few minutes ago. Been looking for a tall cabinet to serve as a pantry and storage bin for some of the excess pots and pans, that currently adorn the top of the stove in this galley-style kitchen. Found nothing so far. But walking in that crisp, cool, and dry air tonight was invigorating. Love fall. Love spring. I love *all* the seasons, when they start. *smile* But I usually love them much less as then end, especially this past summer. So glad that heat is gone for another year.

At any rate, I’m going to pack it in tonight, although I may read a bit more on Active Server Pages before turning in. The mood will dictate. And the mood feels ambivalent right at this moment.

Take care.
Tom
