Hi   [Lynn].

So you have a color printer? What kind? I have a Cannon Bubblejet but it doesn’t work anymore. I’ll probably pitch it before moving.

It’s good to know that I APPEAR so organized, accomplishing what seems to the outside observer to be quite a lot in a day. And I’ll tell you no differently. :-)

Still feeling sad about letting Mom down when she learned that I would not be moving home in the near future. But in getting the travel arrangements in order for the Dayton trip at the end of the year, I was reminded of how difficult it was (and will be) to get around there – always having to ask for rides and hoping that people won’t be too busy to help. No, I cannot willfully put myself in that situation again. Nope.

Thank you for being there, through all that.

Sssshhhhh. I Love Quiet

Dear   [Lynn],

I do like quiet. But I like socializing also, like you. A balance. You know. But I hate noise I didn’t ask for, especially when it occurs in my home and it is not my mate or myself who is making it. :-)

I could live with you wanting quiet. I’m a quite noiseless person myself. :-) Yes however, we’d just have to make sure we stay in sync.

Nice talking to you today. You’re no doubt on the boat right now. Have fun.

Letter to Lynn: 1999-11-19

Dear   [Lynn],

Interesting. It seems like we’ve touched on most (if not all) your passions that you’ve mentioned in our phone talks.

Fortunately, it won’t take ‘years’ for us to meet. Only weeks. Seems like years though.

I’ve come to care about you too. And even though we’ll be meeting soon, this relationship still feels ‘safe’. There seems to be no lack of openness between us.

Yes, I remember licking stamps for mail. I used to exchange audio cassettes with various friends over the years. Just sent one to a friend near Scranton, PA in August. Tapes are nice because you can hear the person’s voice.

More later on this ‘beliefs’ thing. I’m a bit too tired tonight to delve into it and may just wait to talk to you on the phone about them. You already know many of them though, and you’re still talking to me. I guess you haven’t heard anything too strange yet, ‘eh?
