Dear J: Christmas Presents
Hi [J].
On presents I’ve bought for my family so far:
- Well, for my sister Mary Ann, I bought her the latest version of the Eudora mail reader (Eudora Pro 4.2). It has a spelling checker built in and it generally more reliable than the Eudora Light that she’s been using. I’ve been running 4.2 now for about a month on the pulse@xxxxxxxxxx.com account. It’s quite a powerful reader and may even be superior to Outlook in terms of email address management. Plus, it supports MIME encoded attachments, something that the version of Outlook I’m running on THIS account does not. If you’re still running Eudora Light, you may wish to upgrade. You’ll be pleased. $50.
- Then for my other sisters, I bought them Lindt Swiss Chocolates.
- They’ve also got some computer issues they want resolved. And so I told them I’d help them over the holidays with them.
- Then my youngest sister, Joann, has a few improperly wired electrical outlets in her home that we’re going to repair over the break. They’re quite dangerous as they are right now. But fortunately, all of them are well out of reach of her children – we took care of all the ones at floor level last year.
- Now for Mom, I’m not sure what to buy yet. But the siblings are always brimming with ideas there. Will probably figure that one out once I get to Altoona.
