Dear Lynn: Y2K is Over!

Saturday, January 1st, 2000

Hey   [Lynn].

Just got initial reports this morning. Looks like there are no Y2K issues so far. Besides, as long as the IMPORTANT things aren’t affected (like coffee pots), we’re not worried. Right?

Okay. No virtuous comments from here. So what if you have no virtue? “[You’re] always a woman to me.” :-)

Dear Brandon: Catch You in a Few

Saturday, January 1st, 2000

Dear   [Brandon],

Sure thing. [Let me know when you get the official OK.] Just write me back when you know for certain, or you can leave me voice mail at x70yy and I’ll get right back with you.

Dear Brandon: Let’s Go Home!

Saturday, January 1st, 2000

[Brandon],

Well, they just told us we can leave. How are you coming? I’ll head for the hotel if I don’t hear from you shortly. Just call me there, when you’re ready to leave, and I’ll check out and wait for you at the lobby. But if you can leave soon, let me know and I’ll wait here on campus for you.

Tom

Dear Brandon: Software Still Good

Saturday, January 1st, 2000

[Brandon],

Well, things are still looking quite good. We actually might finish up BEFORE 6:00. But this is probably just wishful thinking. :-)

Stay tuned.

Dear Brandon: Y2K: Software Good

Saturday, January 1st, 2000

[Brandon],

Our software looks great. A few hiccups but these were probably caused by Sybase slowness. We’re rerunning those tests, just to be sure that THAT was all it was.

Congratulations on your successful test run.
