[Lynn],
Yep. It’s cold here too – 20 degrees. Walked to the store this afternoon. Brrrrrrr. Packed a few more boxes this evening. The place is starting to look a little empty.
Work was busy today. But it went well. Talked to the manager in email and on the phone – almost like the way you and I communicate – Naaaah.
Busy you are.
A cup of spearmint tea sounds good. Time to go put the water on to boil.
Nope, no cat draped over the feet. When one sets the thermostat to a reasonably warm temperature – like at least 72 degrees, one needs no foot warmers.
However, feeling the gentle vibrations of the purring would be nice.
Catch you later. Don’t slip on any ice.

And just WHAT would those nonfunctional and cheap parts of your life be? IMWTK. I have my therapy hat on right now.
I’ve left myself open, yes. But, as always? Now WHAT do you mean by THAT? If you were close, I’d plant 10 kisses on your cheeks. * * * * * * * * * *
kisses.
Hey, blond women are cool.
Later.

[Lynn],
No, the restriction only works between the phones at 207-xxx-yyyy (or any phone from which Lynn M is calling) and 814-742-yyyy (Mom’s phone). Further, the restriction from calling Mom’s phone only applies whenever Mom answers that number. All other calls are permitted to be completed. So, you’re not off the hook on calling me.
Nope, the restriction doesn’t apply in reverse because the governments of the New England States and the rest of the union reasoned that hostile calls from Maine to PA happen much more often than calls from PA to Maine. Since this restriction is costly to implement, they wanted only to apply it where it would do the most good. Thus, your phone -> Mom’s phone is denied.
Hmmm. I think that most (if not all) blond women have ancestry from New England. *grin*
Deserting me, ‘eh?
Whip? Staying away from that one.
On the mouse: Well, banging and slamming your life around might work, assuming of course that your life, like the mouse, is “non functional [and] cheap” to quote you.
Later.

[Lynn],
I knew you’d have a humorous comeback. Ha ha ha.
Yes, walking on thin ice is fun. Would you rescue me if I fall in?
Yes, you did send the blond guy joke. *snicker*
Actually, you wouldn’t be able to call Mom. As of January first, they implemented some new zoning restrictions on telephone companies. One of the mandates of the new policies is that phones in New England cannot call phones in Altoona. Has something to do with the New England states wanting to secede from the rest of the union. You heard anything about that?
Feeling playful today.

Hi there [Lynn].
See you when you get back.
Three lines are being installed on Jan. 17th at Mom’s. You know that the cost of a basic line isn’t too bad (probably around $25 / month). Of course, with a line like that, you’d likely need to pay for each local call you make ($0.07 / call for this plan in Altoona). I have this type of line for my computer modem, and the local calls I make on it to connect to work usually run around $4 additional each month. Get yourself a second line. You’d really appreciate it I bet.

Dear [Lynn],
You can’t confuse me. The stigma surrounding ‘blondness ‘ only applies to blond females, and NOT blond males. *subdued snicker*

Okay, I’ll take your word for it.
On packing: Just threw out lots of old magazines and books. Lightening the load.
Making some saffron ribbon pasta and sauce for lunch – all organic. Yum.
Very dark and windy here today. Warm though.
It’s been much darker at night out front since I returned. Investigation shows that a couple street lights were removed over the holidays. I suspect that someone complained about how bright they were, and they’re gone now. Or, they may have been removed as part of a city wide effort to cut down on the number of light bulbs they have to replace each year. In either case, I don’t care. I’m outta here very soon.
Later.

Dear [Lynn],
Good morning you.
I’m up. Just had to respond to email from my manager and a developer from another group who was asking numerous questions about my software.
Yes, I found the prism. The top of it was bent a little but it is straight now. You are just so thoughtful. Thanks.
Too much energy? Hmmm. Sounds like a caffeine-induced high.
Well, you were probably all excited to go on that job that got delayed. That’s a letdown to be sure. I’m going to have some herbal tea here in a bit. Spearmint today.
Hauled the boxes up here from the basement last night after we got off the phone. Today, packing proper begins after work.
Have a sweet day, whatever you end up doing. More later.

Dear sister Joann,
Well, the dinner trip was okay. We went to a restaurant in the far north east [in Philly]. The one we usually visit has gone out of business and so we tried this other one (Michael’s). Not bad at all.
Yep, I’ll check out the pictures when I get home.
Packing is underway. I’m getting more excited by the day. 3 new phone lines have been ordered and will be installed at Mom’s on Monday, January 17th. The ball is a rolling.
Later.
