Actually, you wouldn’t be able to call Mom. As of January first, they implemented some new zoning restrictions on telephone companies. One of the mandates of the new policies is that phones in New England cannot call phones in Altoona. Has something to do with the New England states wanting to secede from the rest of the union. You heard anything about that?
