Snow-a-Coming

Wednesday, January 19th, 2000

[Lynn],

Well, sounds like you’re living the American Dream with your cats. Aren’t they just so cute?

It must have hit 40 today, although they only predicted 32 degrees here. Sunny blue skies all day. But a couple inches of snow are on the way for tomorrow morning and mid day.

So, was your offering of chicken at the pot luck meeting enjoyed by all?

Got lots of exercise today – walked, lifted, climbed stairs several times, Etc.

Later.

Chinese Dinner

Wednesday, January 19th, 2000

[Lynn],

Decided to get the chicken with cashews and white rice and a shrimp roll. Also got two vegetable rolls because the place has a $10 minimum order and I needed to get these to ring up the minimum charge. These will make a nice lunch with skim milk tomorrow.

Hmmm. Have you noticed that nowadays, they refer to skim milk as ‘fat free milk?’ Apparently, the word ‘skim’ has a negative connotation these days, just like sugar. However unlike sugar, the bad opinions associated with SKIM milk are not founded. IMHO. :-) LOL

Now you know I don’t like getting you fired up. In fact, I routinely avoid such opportunities.

Honey, I’m Home!

Wednesday, January 19th, 2000

[Lynn],

No, you didn’t say honey. I introduced it THIS time. *ha ha ha*

What? You mean you have OTHER men calling you honey??? IMWTK.

No, I’m going to have them deliver the meal.

Yep, still two TVs. But will probably pack up the 13’’ one early next week.

Enjoy your pot luck meeting tonight.

Noisy Neighbors Problem

Wednesday, January 19th, 2000

[Lynn],

I talked to a friend today who recommended an attorney to help me with this   noisy neighbors   problem. He should be calling tomorrow. I just want to see if I can get out of paying this $2800 to the landlord for “breaking the lease.” The friend says that this lawyer has won every case she’s had him work on for her (divorce, custody, and landlord problems). So, we’ll see what he has to say.

Walking and Moving in Winter

Wednesday, January 19th, 2000

[Lynn],

Well, I got a half-hour long, brisk walk in today. Plus, I carried these boxes up the stairs. Took about 5 trips. So I got my exercise for the day. :-)

Actually, I start “fading out” as you put it, at around 11:00 on a typical night. So, that puts me about 1.5 hours behind you.

Packing in Progress

Wednesday, January 19th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

No problem. If you like them [Darwin Awards], I’m sure they’ll be amusing to read.

Just got back from the moving place with about 30 more boxes and more tape. Going to pack up the 27’’ TV tonight and the kitchen glassware.

Going to do Chinese for supper tonight – but hold the egg roll and the fortune cookies please. :-)

[Lynn],

Nope, I’m still here. I just finished up another to-do item – getting the new files for our release next week checked into source code control. Still quite alert I am. :-)

More later.

Guess what time I got up? About 5:30 [AM]. Went to bed immediately after we hung up [last night] (early for me). So, I woke up early. Still dark here.
