Chain Letters

Kathy,

Please do not be offended at what I’m about to tell you. I only say it to save you future grief and to help you become familiar with Internet etiquette. Forwarding of such “chain letters” is considered by the net community at large to be in very bad taste. Why? It consumes many computer and network resources to transmit and forward, and often these resources belong to companies who have no interest in this email. This wastes bandwidth and dollars for these companies, and so should be avoided. Secondly, most people in general have no interest in such letters, which are essentially no more than a veiled threat of some sort of harm, if the letter is not forwarded. People on the net get enough junk email as it is without this kind of superstitious stuff. So to keep from angering your friends, you’d be well advised to avoid passing these on.

Now, on to other items: How are you? Back in school yet? You get lots of snow in Pittsburgh yesterday? My head is healing pretty well. The hair is growing back in nicely. I’m leaving Philly next weekend and moving to Altoona. Going to build a home there I think.

Well happy studying. Don’t overload your plate. Allow yourself plenty of “enjoyment time”.

Take care.
