New Work Assignment

Dear   [Lynn],

Hmmm. Sounds like a very concerned friend, although perhaps his concerns are a bit misplaced. Either that or he’s trying to stir something up between you and your ex.

Very busy day today and this evening. Sorry I haven’t corresponded all day. But I just got an assignment that will have me plucking out many, many keystrokes and emails for the next few days. So email from me may be a bit sparse.

No EXE Files Please

Dear sister Diane,

No, no problem. Just don’t send me .EXE files. These are programs that have to be run by the receiving computer in order to see their contents. Also, they are the most susceptible to virus infections and most easily transmit viruses from computer to computer. Picture files aren’t as risky (JPG, GIF, BMP). Just EXE files. To a lesser extent, Word files can also spread viruses (.DOC files).
