Dentist’s Report

Daar   [Lynn]

Yep, that altruistic streak is hard to miss, gaping as it is. :-) Looks sort of like a mouth. Hee heee.

Lots of dental stories, past and future. I have several bits of work requiring the dentist’s attention over the next few months. Not cavities. But my gums are receding a bit and so I must start using a de sensitizing tooth paste to make the consumption of cold foods less painful. And, some of my teeth are worn – possibly from night time grinding. And they may need veneered. I wear a mouth piece at night now. In fact, I ground so hard one night that a piece of it broke off. Perhaps it’s this high-stress job. :-)

I didn’t call tonight because I went grocery shopping with Joann and didn’t finish unloading until well past 9:30.

Unfinished business from a few weeks ago? What, were you so bored that you were reading old email? I figured you’d forget all about that little transgression. But nope, you didn’t. Maybe you’d best go and double park a while. :-) I didn’t forget THAT little gem either. *smile*

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Dental Checkup

Wednesday, February 9th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Well, has the nasty weather arrived yet? It’s beautiful here today – sunny blue skies and temp around 50 degrees. Snow is quickly melting.

Oh I am just so grateful that you manage to stay up until 9:30 to complete a conversation with me. You epitomize altruism. :-)

On the thermostat: If it’s a programmable one, then the batteries may be going dead – if it has batteries. The one I had in my house in Ohio had batteries. Although I never got to see how it behaved when those batteries went dead. I always replaced them each year.

Sounds like [your daughter] will like the gift. Even if she doesn’t appreciate the skirt itself, she’ll surely be moved by the love you’ve shown by thinking of her on your vacation.

Yep, being here with the family is much more pleasant that I imagined it would be.

Went to the dentist today for the every-six-month cleaning. Nothing too bad appeared, although the x-rays showed some questionable dark patches around a root canal I had in 1998. The dentist thinks it may be an infection and has placed me on antibiotics for a few weeks, and then he wants to x-ray it again. Gosh, it’s always something, ‘eh?

Later.
