Cleaning House
Friday, March 17th, 2000Dear [Lynn],
Nope. No happy hour. Mom and I were just cleaning house a bit. What a fun way to spend Friday night. I need to get a life.
Will call you in a few minutes.

Dear [Lynn],
It wasn’t really 70 degrees. In fact, I don’t even think it made 40. I was just teasing, hoping to spark an attitude from you. Ah well. Didn’t work that time.
Tom
Dear [Lynn],
I would have a very soft-spoken meow.
Rarely would it be loud enough to hear through doors, windows, walls, Etc. The only time a shrill squeal might occur, would be when someone steps on my tail or refuses to feed me for tens of hours.
Would you let people touch your tail? Or would you greet such attempts with bites and scratches? One of Diane’s cats hates being touched anywhere below the neck. Pet her back or stroke her tail and she bites and growls. What do cats use their tails for anyhow? Balance? If so, how does that work? It seems like the tail doesn’t have much mass compared to the rest of the body, and really couldn’t much affect the cat’s center of gravity. I dunno.
Are you going to be busy with [your son] tonight?
Tom
Dear [Lynn],
Wow. How much do you have on the ground now? Nice day here. 70 degrees and very sunny with a gentle breeze, with lots of puffy white clouds around. *gloat*
