Cleaning Lady in Mobile Home

Monday, March 20th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

I’m going to have a cleaning lady when I get the mobile home set up. Will probably have her come twice a month, and clean not only the refrigerator, but the furniture, window sills, and vacuum everything as well. I think she charges $40 a visit.

Back to work. :-)

Apollo 13 Movie

Monday, March 20th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

On the Apollo 13 movie: The lead was Tom Hanks, not Kevin Costner. Great movie. I like many of those “true accounts” movies, especially involving space.

I have to give a tutorial this morning to a new member of the [our] team at 9:00. And there will probably be one or two hiccups to resolve pertaining to yesterday morning’s release, although nothing too serious – I hope. :-)

Do enjoy your day.

Play Performance

Monday, March 20th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Well, oftentimes, such “errors” are not obvious to the audience – such as exiting left when it should have been right. And blowing a line often goes unnoticed as well. Be ready to improvise if you get it slightly wrong during the performance. And the people watching you (except for the ones who know the play by heart) won’t know the difference. Hang in there. You’re almost home. :-)

Of course, this advice comes from someone who has watched many more plays than he has participated in himself. :-) So take it with a few grains of salt. I really don’t know what I am talking about when it comes to play performing. ;-)
