Back Porch Roof Repairs
Dear  [Lynn],
I’m home now. Pretty busy all day. Got a hair cut. Went to Surplus City and Lowe’s for roofing repair materials. If the weather permits tomorrow, I will climb up and fix the leak on the back porch. And carried lots of junk and garbage out of the basement, including an old water heater and lots of splintered wood. We’re going to scrub the floors and all the shelves down there – some very serious redding up. And, Joann gave me yet ANOTHER chair to fix – same sort of problems: All the joints need gluing. Plus, she threw in a heater that has a broken switch. I don’t know how she ends up with so much broken stuff. Must be the kids. 
Either that, or she buys cheap things. I dunno. The nice thing about cheap things is that it’s pretty easy to make them better (by restoration) than you found them. The same cannot be as often said for the more expensive furniture, unless it is very old or very abused.
