Dumb Blonds

Friday, April 21st, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Oh. So you mean that when you blonds act dumb, as frequently as you do, you’re actually just pretending to be that way to avoid bruising the rest of our egos? Yea, right. :-) *Rumble, boom*

So when you’re at the Land Trust, are you using Eudora or some other mailer?

Alright on the attorney. The ball is rolling. Boy, just imagine when Carl gets notice that you want to re negotiate the visitation part of the divorce agreement. He’ll be steaming. Fireworks. Or, perhaps he’ll just say, “Ba ba ba ba ba ba.”

Lowe’s Again

Friday, April 21st, 2000

Dear Lynn,

Well, I don’t know if I’d buy “whole” items there like washers/dryers, and furniture. They seem like they would not provide all that much customer support if one has a problem with these things. But for supplies like wire, plumbing pieces, paints, chemicals, tools, roofing, and flooring, the Lowe’s here has good quality stuff in my experience, at decent prices. I think Mom bought the new bathroom wall paper and flooring at Lowe’s, and it looks okay.

Warm Quality Time

Friday, April 21st, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

On arranging some warm quality time together: No problem. I’ll handle it. :-)

All dark, gray, and rainy today but it’s warm again. 60-ish.

Yep, blonds make the rest of us look sooo good. *pressed the plunger, now awaiting the explosion* ;-)

On [your daughter]: Geeze, what a surprise. You had written her off as never coming up there for any long term stay. You must be very pleased.

Outgoing? You seem outgoing enough for me. But perhaps we can talk more about it over the weekend.

More later.

Lowe’s

Thursday, April 20th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Another gray morning here as well, although the temps are around 60 degrees. If it’s not raining after work, I’m going to walk for an hour.

Go Lowes!! They’ve been rapidly expanding the past couple years. Hope they don’t collapse under their own weight. They do a good job at bringing a tremendously large selection of appliances, supplies, books, Etc. to the do-it-yourselfer. Half the battle of doing home projects before these big stores came along was finding everything needed. Not any more. :-)

Meow.

Daily Jabber

Wednesday, April 19th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Warm and cloudy today. 65 degrees right now.

When did “javing” become an adjetive in addition to a present tense verb? Blond’s prerogative, hmmm?

I hope Carl’s response to your letter isn’t too hostile. But hammering out a well defined agreement on the visitation should help you, once it is complete, insulate yourself from his wrath.

What were Killer and the Spare Cat doing out the window this morning? And, you mean Tabbo wasn’t concerned with the fact that two cats were visible outside? :-)

More Tid Bits

Tuesday, April 18th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Yep, will talk with you tonight.

Joann’s kids are here right now. Mom is babysitting. They’re watching Ghost Busters. Katie just came into the office, wanting me to open this big jug of popcorn Mom bought around Christmas time, for movie times such as this. Pop. There. It’s open.

Gray, rainy day today. Mid 40s.

Lobo just came on the radio. 1972 song. I think it’s called, “Baby, I’d Love You to Want Me” Lots of memories of 6th grade, the school playground, Etc. The boys used to impress the girls by pushing the merry-go-round. Whoever made it spin the fastest made the best impression. :-)

Well, gotta go for now. Talk to you tonight.

Dear   [Lynn],

My funds only went back up about 3 percent yesterday. Surprising, since the Nasdaq rose by about 8 percent.

The Nasdaq is doing well again today. Up about 220. If it holds, today will be another record increase for this market.

Yep.

Glad you’re taking such good care of our cats. You better not neglect Annie and leave her outside all day again. *running for cover* :-)

On almost missing the boat: It definitely pays to have friends who operate the thing.

Pretty good day. Average productivity I suppose. Paid bills, got caught up on email, resolved a few software build problems. Typical day.

Yep.

Talk to you later.

Being Right Too Often

Monday, April 17th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Well, being right too often can make one very unpopular. Someone here in Altoona last week was complaining that “Tommy always has an answer for everything.” So, now, I keep my mouth shut. :-)

How does [your son] figure that a slower computer would help alleviate the lock-up situation? Does he want to relegate you to the slower machine while he uses the faster one?

My Weekend

Dear   [Lynn],

Had a good weekend. Pretty well rested.

Did you get all your gardening supplies put away? Were those the pallets you were talking about on the phone?

Polarfleece

Friday, April 14th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

You mean you don’t like wearing the polarfleece? I don’t imagine that there’d be much use for polarfleece during the warm months. :-)

Sunny and about 40 degrees here this morning. Looks like another beautiful, but slightly warmer day is on tap for Friday. Yes, I’ve had it with this winter too. Ready for the thaw. Any day now.

See, all those yes-dears and you’re-rights that you’ve been saying to me are starting to come in real handy with Warren. Practice makes perfect. :-)

Have a great day, now that you probably have yours all “figured out”. I’m still getting through today’s email. But I saved yours for last. So, now it’s time to get to work. Talk to you later on.
