Dear [Lynn],
Hmmmm. Just wait until it is 6:00 AM some morning when we’re together, and I try to convince you that it’s bedtime.
As you know already, the day went well. Both on the work and landlord fronts.
Now hold your ear close to the screen….. Come on, closer. Closer . . .
Puurrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Dear [Lynn],
Howdy.
Just patched the holes in the wall in the basement tonight. Had to chisel them for about a half hour first, to get nice, cone-shaped openings into which to stuff the concrete. Stuff hardened pretty quickly. We’ll see how it holds up during the next rain.
Mom just announced that she doesn’t like the paint we used on the cellar floor. The stuff that is there now is non glossy. And she says that a shinier paint would be easier to keep clean. *sigh*. She picked out the paint, but guess who is probably going to be painting again?
Just can’t seem to get ahead.
I am sorry about Tabbo being left outside last night. Hope you don’t feel like it’s nice sleeping without ALL males.
Still can’t believe you worked on Memorial Day. Ah well, what must be done, SHOULD be done I suppose.
Well, I’m off to bed after I take a quick bath. Sleep well, and we’ll talk tomorrow.
Later.

Dear [Lynn],
Howdy.
Just finishing up the formal part of my day, and getting ready to close up the computer for the weekend.
Sunny blue skies with lots of puffy white clouds around. And guess what? Our grass is all green here.
Brownies? Well, only eat ONE.
That shouldn’t do any damage.
Enjoy your evening. If I don’t get too dirty tonight, I’ll give you a call at the usual time.
Later.

Dear [Lynn],
Just got back from Lowe’s. Got some wood to build a form for the water tank slab.
Now the skies are totally clear and blue. And the sun is blazing.
Ya gotta love it.
Enjoy your trip. Later.

Dear [Lynn],
Hazy, blue skies here today, and the sun is shining. You know, the sky begins to brighten these days at around 4:45 AM. I woke up just as the blackness was giving way to a faint white, and then the dim white turned deep blue. Nice.
Go Tabbo! Make her make those typing errors.
Hmmm. Sounds like playing Mom for the next two weeks may have you bleary-eyed on more than one occasion. Don’t look this way for envy. Perhaps you’ll just need to unplug the phone in your room when you go to sleep.
Mom is okay. She was just frustrated. Apparently, while cutting the baseboards to size, she slipped and sliced the new linoleum, although I looked around and couldn’t see where this happened. I think it’s near a wall, and so can be disguised relatively easily. We’ll see.
Joann is going to Lowe’s at 10:00. I may join her if work doesn’t get too busy today.
Anyway, have a good day. Talk to you (maybe) tonight. Give me a call when you get where you’re going to retire tonight.

Dear [Lynn],
It’s been raining here on and off all day. Thunderstorms came by a few times too. About 64 degrees outside now, although we did see 80 degrees earlier. And the sun is shining at this moment.
I did catch up on sleep. And yes, naps (short ones under an hour) work pretty well for me. If I nap longer than that, then I won’t be tired when it’s time to go to bed at night, and it screws up my whole sleep schedule. So, unless I’m very tired, I try and avoid 1+ hour naps.
Stop instigating ! ! !

Dear [Lynn],
What is TYATR? Did this come from the same dictionary as “Javing?” *hunkering down*

Dear [Lynn],
You’re welcome. Yes, I’ve been working all afternoon since 1:30, after The Young and the Restless was over.
Instigator.

Dear [Lynn],
What you’re asking about is called an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS). You can get these at CompUSA and Computer Discount Warehouse (CDW), Radio Shack, and other computer hardware suppliers. However $80 for one sounds a bit low. The ones you’d get for that are probably bottom-of-the-line. Typically, the more you pay, the longer the unit can run your computer during a power outage. If the fluctuations are pretty short, then the cheaper units may be enough to protect her computer from the line voltage variations she’s observing.
