Dear sister Mary Ann,
Well, the Philly trip is now scheduled. It is for the following weekend (6/24 – 6/25). However, I still better stay away from the Friends Picnic. I gained some weight at [Lynn's] and would like to lose it ASAP. And there are just too many tempting dishes at that Friends Picnic. 
Again, I may get there sometime late on Friday afternoon, but can’t say for certain at this time.
