The Philly Trip Was Great
Dear  [Lynn],
I figured you must have been quite tired. You seemed somewhat short, though not mean by any means. Just short. 
At any rate, you were better last night. The weekend must have done you good. You work very hard.
The trip was wonderful. However, it reminded me that there are certain things about Philly that I miss a great deal – namely, the independence I enjoyed there. There was a sense of job security there also, in that, if something ever happened with [my current job], I could probably find a new job easily, without having to travel very far to conduct the search. I woke up this morning with a sense sweetness in my mind about the good trip, yet at the same time, feelings of emptiness in the pit of my stomach, the bitterness, were present also. I’ve not felt these in quite some time. But this will pass.
