Tid Bits: 2000-06-29

Dear   [Lynn],

Hey you.

Running a bit late today, are we? Usually you write by 6:30. But on this day, you didn’t write until after 7:00.

Well, I’m always concerned about postmortems. But the good side is that people will be made more aware of just how big and complicated this system is. And while THIS meeting may be highly stressful, perhaps the resulting, increased awareness among my peers, subordinates, and superiors, will make future days less aggravating. Hah! Fat chance, ‘eh?

Yes, I imagine that during the summer months, the cats, combined with that 4’’ thick comforter you have would make for a very sultry night indeed. :-) When you kicked them off, did they return immediately, or go off an sulk for an hour, only to return then after you’d gone back to sleep to disturb you?

I don’t believe you mentioned the dinner tonight. However, I’ll put it on my calendar this time, so I don’t call at 8:00, expecting you to be home. Sure, just give me a call when you get in.

Have a sweet day. Cool, blue skies here. The sun is out. A few velvety white clouds that make long streaks across the sky can be seen out the westward windows here in the office. Nice.

Talk to you later.

Tom
