What is IM?

Instant Messaging comes with Netscape. If you look on our task bar, at those little icons across the top (or bottom depending on how you have your system configured), do you see a little yellow cartoon person who appears to be running? If you have this, then you have IM installed. If not, take a peak through your Netscape communicator menus. The option is called “AOL Instant Messenger TM”.
You do not need to be signed up with AOL to use this free service. They just provide the hosting for it. I had them send you an email last night that talks about the service and invites you to sign up. Also, there are good tutorials. To see them, just run the AOL Instant Messenger program. If you do sign up, let me know, and I’ll add you to my buddy list, along with Tabbo. 
And we can chat, live, whenever we’re both online.
