AIM Setup
Dear [Lynn],
To set up a new buddy, do the following . . .
1. Sign on to IM. The Buddy List Window Appears.
2. In the Buddy List Window, choose the “List Setup” tab. You should see several folders appear, labeled “Buddies”, “Family”, and “Coworkers”. Of course, this may be different if you’ve made any changes here before.
3. Next, move the mouse pointer over the “Buddies” folder, and right-click. A pop-up menu appears.
4. From that menu, pick “Add Buddy”. A new item will be created in the “Buddies” folder and the cursor will go there, awaiting you to type something.
5. Enter my screen name, which is ‘uhesltj’ without the quotes, and hit Enter. This should add me to your buddy list.
Then, if you want to see which buddies are currently online, pick the “Online” tab in the “Buddy List Window”. All online buddies will be displayed.
