Reliability

Dear   [Lynn],

Well, my standards for reliability in others, are no higher than the reliability I offer in exchange. If I say I’m going to do something, I will do it, unless I’m in-the-hospital-bed sick, or transportation arrangements fall through. This is not to say that I NEVER cancel out on plans made. But on those rare occasions, I give plenty of notice (weeks ahead if possible). And, I’m always there with profuse apologies, as well as a concrete offer for an alternate arrangement to accomplish what I promised I would, should cancellation become necessary. I think you understand these things. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have the clientele and following in your business which you currently enjoy. Simply put: It’s just being responsible. Hmmmm. I’m starting to sound more Republican every day. *duck*

No, Jo Ann wasn’t really in the doghouse. I just wish she would have given me more notice. And, I think she could have had her husband attend her child’s game, or offered another plan when she cancelled. But she’s generally very reliable, and things like this happen very rarely with her. So, she’s forgiven.

More later.

Tom
