The Portable Hard Drive is In

Hey.
Just finished hooking up the new drive, which arrived today. Took over an hour to format, but man, is it fast and quiet. I moved my mail archives over to it and then did a search through 2500 messages for the word test. I think the search was finished in under 20 seconds. The old drive took almost twice as long. Wow. Now, will try copying the operating system over to it and attempt a boot. Pretty exciting.
Very foggy this morning during the walk at 7:00. Yes, I was up at 6:00. You would have been proud. At any rate, the fog burned off and now the skies are quite blue and sunny, with occasional puffy white clouds. Somewhat less humid this afternoon than yesterday.
Going to Diane’s in a bit. She should be here in a half-hour or so.
