I Got a Great Raise!
Dear [Lynn],
Well I found out what the raise is. 10%. My manager says that he wants to give me more, but human resources wouldn’t allow more than 10 right now. However, once I get my promotion, that should amount to roughly another 10%. Once that’s done,then I’ll be truly happy with the current compensation. 
Now, time for some new objectives.
Hmmm, a truck or a tractor. Tough decision. Work real hard, and you’ll be able to have BOTH. Your success is foremost in my thoughts. Best wishes.
