Parallel Printer Port Switch

Sounds like the “zoobie” is a parallel printer port switch. You can buy them in two or four port models. However, be careful about buying the ones that automatically switch the printer from one computer to another, depending on which computer is printing. These often interfere with Plug and Play operation, and can prevent your computer from properly detecting your printer. It would be best to buy one that you switch manually. Radio Shack sells these switches for under $30.
