Congratulations!! The pic came through just fine. Oh you’ll probably be like a little girl on Christmas morning with that new toy.
You’ll have a blast.

Hi sister Jojo.
Things are well here. Easter was nice.
The apartment is coming together nicely. I want to buy a pantry cabinet for the kitchen, and a hope chest to put at the foot of my waterbed in the bedroom. Plus, I need another CD rack. The two I have are full and overflowing.
The Easter egg hunt at Mary Ann’s. Yes, sorry I missed that. But I’ve been doing too much traveling these days and think I’m going to stay put for about six more weeks. Then, for Memorial Day, I may go to Dayton to visit [Vee]. We’re still talking about it, but will let you know what happens.
I hope to spend much of July in Altoona so we can hang out at the pool. That’s always so much fun. And now that the ladies know that I like giving foot massages [...], it should be even better.
Well take care and have a nice spring. Talk to you again soon.
Tom
Dear sister Jojo,
The weight continues to fall. I’m now down 20 pounds since I started this on January 29th, 2001. However, I still have the fat around my mid section. So I think I’m going to have to drop another 10.

Dear [Tad],
Very warm here in Philly 87 degrees today. Supposed to cool down to the 40s later this week though. What dramatic shifts in the weather. You know what they say about variety being the spice of life.

Dear [Lynn],
Snow this week up there? Wow. However, as I recall, plants didn’t start growing up there until late May.
The crocuses don’t come out up there until mid June, right? Or, is Vanalhaven too far north for crocuses? Hmm, it might even be too far north for evergreens.
Hunkering down.
Tom Hesley
Thanks, [Morra]. Mom really enjoyed meeting you. She said that you had an “angel face.” Hmmmm. If only she knew. *snicker*

Thanks, [Tad] [for passing my mailing address on to the WPSBC alumni association]. I’ll send her some money as soon as I receive her mailing. I suppose I would make the check out to the WPSBC Alumni Association? Hopefully, she’ll include dues information in the material she’s sending me.
On second thought, I’ll call [the secretary] and talk to her about payment and see what she wants me to do.

Dear [Tad],
Thanks, sir. You’re a gem.
Nice day here. Supposed to reach 78 degrees, with lots of sunshine. Nice.

Yes, [Tad]. I’d love to get back on the WPSBC alumni mailing list. Would you forward my current address to the right people? That address is:
xxx Red Lion Road
Apartment Y-Y
Philadelphia, PA 191zz
Phone number is 215-969-vvvv.
Thanks very much.

Dear [Lynn],
You’re welcome. [Glad I could help.] I wrote that message yesterday while riding the train from Altoona to Philly.
Geez, [Lynn]. Hope Carl isn’t going off the deep end, and becoming psychopathic. This could be very bad.
You’re living on the mainland this fall with [your son]? Are you buying a house there and selling yours on Vinalhaven, or just living in a hotel somewhere?
I don’t know why your letter would be offensive, except to Carl that is. Perhaps Eudora saw your word ‘fruitcake’ and assumed that you might be calling me that.
