Dear  [Beejay],
Welcome to your new home!! Yes, those attributes that catch your eye when first shopping for a home, such as your hardwood floors, can become a pain in the neck once you move in, as you’re finding. But it’s worth it though. You are now much more, “one with the land.” Especially since you have to spend so much time cutting the grass. 
That will taper off as the summer heats up. Don’t fret. *smile*
