Another Loan to Mentat

Dear   [Mentat],

Wanted to get this in writing, that I loaned you $297.12 in mid-June. Details follow:

  • $250.00 Money Order
  • $3.25 Postage to send above mentioned money order to you.
  • $43.87 AT&T 1000 minute phone card (tax included).
  • $0.55 Postage to send the phone card to you.

The grand total is $297.67.

I received voice mail from you, indicating that you did receive the money order. Have you received the phone card yet?

Also, per our discussion, you indicated that you would repay this money in early July when we meet in Altoona, PA.

If I’ve forgotten any of the details of this transaction, please let me know.

Tommy’s Tunes Begins

Redding Up the Apartment

Hi.

Yes in fact. I just redd it up this weekend. I’m here in Dayton for a few days to attend an awards ceremony. Two people I nominated are receiving recognition and my bosses asked me to be here for that. And I always redd up the home dwelling when leaving it for a time. :) It’s cleaner when I’m gone than when I’m there. Go figure.

How are you and Carl getting along these days?

Diets and Camp this Year

Saturday, June 9th, 2001

Dear sister Jojo,

Nice chatting with you this morning. Fun sharing our experiences on the Atkins diet. Going to cut back my calories per day, and hold it below 1500 for a week or two and see if the weight loss resumes. God, I want to get rid of this spare tire.

Looking more into ketosis and will let you know what I discover.

Be sure to keep Mom honest and motivated on her diet. I call her every 3 or 4 days to see how she’s doing. So far, so good.

Have a great weekend. Looks like the weather is going to be very nice. I’m just making up some music CDs for camp this year. We often sit on the cabin patios listing to music. So I like to make sure I have a good supply of great tunes. I’ve made three CDs so far, and hope to have 20 done by the time I get home in late June.
