Yes, I might never again see those exceeds-most ratings, and have an idea about why [my boss] is denying this.Ā He believes that Iām getting paid pretty well, and so, doesnāt want to make me seem too good. Heās got to limit my raise so he can spread the wealth around throughout his group, and avoid creating the impression among his bosses that heās repeatedly favoring me.Ā So, he must justify his rational for giving me a low raise.Ā Thus, he appraises me as an average performer when in fact, my work quality has not lessened from last year, when he declared me āthe model example of a home-based employee.āĀ Ā Ā Some authority might have said to my manager that Iām getting paid too much, and advised him to throttle back my wages a little.Ā Itās possible.
