Mobile Home on Hold
Hey there, [Lex]!
Thanks for writing. I’m glad to hear that everything is going well there.
Yes, you are right. Won’t be purchasing a mobile home any time soon. My company just laid off 175 people, and say that they may not yet be finished. There may be more layoffs, and so I don’t want to make any big financial commitments right now, since I may not have a job in six months. In the meantime, I’m living here at Mom’s, and fixing up the second floor – installing baseboard heat in the two rooms up there, and hope to add some sort of air conditioning this spring.
Yes, I did talk to [Jack]. It was nice hearing his voice. I do miss you all, but I am very glad to be away from that noisy apartment. By the way, the landlord gave me back my entire security deposit, and said that they consider the matter of the noise and early lease termination closed. That made me happy. And, I have paid all my remaining Philly bills. I like having the extra money these days, since I’m no longer paying Philly wage taxes. Nice. Anyway, [Jack] sounded well.
I’m hoping to visit you all in late February. I plan on giving [Rick] a call this weekend to discuss [this upcoming trip].
Well, I’d best get back to work. Take care of yourself, and I’ll talk to you in the next few weeks.
Later,
Tom
