No Jobs Around Here
Dear  [Lex],
Well, there aren’t any big companies around here where I might work. But then again, I never want to work on a long-term basis for a big company. There are some small schools in the area for which I might perform small computer-related tasks. And I have a few odd jobs (electrical wiring) lined up. I’ll survive these bad economic times. There’s much I can do, from wiring houses to installing windows, some light plumbing, and other odd handy-man type jobs. I’m not too worried at present.
On your clogged drains: Yes, we’ve had a few here over the years. I can usually free them with a hand plunger, just as you might clear a clogged toilet. However, one or two of them required removal of the trap and hand-cleaning it. Fortunately, we don’t have any small children living here who sometimes drop things into the drain that have to be fished out.
I’m here in the office, doing the weekly computer backups, filing papers that came in this week, and so on. So I’d better get back to it. Will probably run up to Lowe’s store today to get some home maintenance supplies.
Hope to get to Philly around the third week in February. Will see you then.

Take care,
Tom
