They Don’t Like Me So Why Worry About Them?
Thought:
If we don’t believe that we ourselves are valued by other people, it would be easy to discount others’ feelings – since in our view, they don’t care about us anyway. I think I may have been this way at work. That is: People don’t like me. So why should I concern myself with their sensitivities? After all, since they don’t like me anyway, they won’t be hurt by anything I say, for they’re not vulnerable to me. So, I can disregard their feelings.
