Update to AM

Tuesday, March 30th, 2004

Dear [Am].

Well, things are good here. I’m doing DJ work now and then, and writing short stories. Health is good. Stress levels are low. That’s one thing I don’t miss about [work]. :)

Yes, I’m in Altoona now. Thinking about giving Philly ONE MORE TRY. Perhaps the third try will be the charm and I’ll be able to stay there for the rest of my working life.

The thought of going to work for a school down there as a computer technician holds a certain appeal, although I probably wouldn’t do it full-time. Life is much slower these days. It’s wonderful.

How’s your family?

Mom is doing okay here although she’s grappling with overweight and diabetes. Nothing new really, but she’s not making any headway against these problems. She just likes sugary, floury foods too much. :)

How’s [Lor]? Either of you find boyfriends yet? I just got out of an eight-month relationship. We’re still friends though. So I’m still looking for Miss Right.

Well, nice that you wrote. Take care, and say hi to our common friends for me, and invite them to drop me a line.

Tom

Current DJ Music Batch

Monday, March 29th, 2004

Dear [Emmy],

Howdy. Things are going well today. The batch is up to 660 songs now.

Glad to hear that you’re having a better afternoon. You didn’t sound too good this morning.

Hope your job search goes well.

Talk to you later,
Tom

Rick’s BDay Date

Thursday, March 25th, 2004

Dear Carl,

I don’t know the exact date of [Rick's] birthday. It’s around April 17th I believe.

Yes, I heard about Bob’s birthday. [LizDee] told me that she gave him a sugarless apple pie. But I haven’t yet heard if he liked the pie.

Hopefully, your brother will like Philly. I did.

Happy Easter to you as well.

Camp and Such

Thursday, March 25th, 2004

Dear Carl,

Good to hear that your weekend went well in NJ.

I just received my confirmation card back. I’m in session 6, the one that runs from July 17th to July 28th. However, [Emmy] says she won’t be attending camp this year.

I’ve been talking with [Emmy] and [LizDee] (a lady who attended the 2002 winter retreat.

[Rick] is turning 50 years old soon and is having a party in April. I’ll be heading to Philly for that.

One the delayed move of your work place, well, that gives you a little more time for mobility, and to get packed. :-)

Talk to you later,
Tom

Busy Busy: 2004-03-25

Thursday, March 25th, 2004

Dear [Emmy],

I didn’t write yesterday. But I did read, and added more music to the computer. The latest batch has 300 songs in it now.

Glad to hear that the internship is going well for you.

Take care,
Tom

Writing in the Morning

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2004

Dear   [LizDee],

Hmmmmmmm. I started writing at 7:15 today. I want to get it out of the way by 11:00. It’s going well.

Have a good day yourself. :-) Say to Peter the Meter Reader for me.

Song Batching and Writing

Monday, March 22nd, 2004

Dear   [Emmy],

I just wrote for four hours today, napped, added to the latest song batch on the computer, and chatted on the phone. A slow day really.

That’s great that you like the switchboard. I used to work switchboard in 12th grade at my high school, and loved it. I’d have kept doing it but I wanted to work in electronics and computers. But it was a neat job while it lasted.

Buffalo Wings

Thursday, March 18th, 2004

Dear [Emmy],

I have to try the wings when I get up there again. They sound wonderful.

I’ve been puttering around today. Sort of tired all day. Didn’t sleep well last night for some reason. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

Talk to you later.

DJ Business: Song Count

Wednesday, March 17th, 2004

Carl,

I’ve not talked with [Rick] in over a month. However, word has it that he’s doing just fine. All of us are looking forward to the warm weather, and camp. I’ll be adding more music to the computer this week. Hope to get it up to 29,000 songs very soon. We’ll have a blast listening this summer.

Later,
Tom

Snow Today

Wednesday, March 17th, 2004

Happy St. Patric’s Day to you too, Carl.

We got about five inches of snow here. I think they’re calling for an inch or so more tonight.

Enjoy your visit to NJ.

I heard from Bob, [Jack], [Emmy], and Bob’s friend [LizDee].

Catch you later,
Tom
