Setting Up a Connection

Dear [C],

Yes, the email you received is correct. You go to Settings->Control Panel->Internet Options.

In that window, across the top, there are several tabs. Select the Connections tab.

Now, Mike has to define a connection here first, before he can set the option to disconnect when the link is no longer needed. So, do the set up first by hitting the Setup… button and providing the information requested by the internet connection wizard.

After you finish the wizard, you’ve now defined a connection. So, once again, go back to Settings->Control Panel->Internet Options. Click the Connections Tab. A list of defined connections appears.

Select the connection in that list that you’ve just defined, and then hit the Settings button. The settings windows appears.

Then, in this window, click the Advanced button. The Advanced Dialup window appears. It is here that you can set the option to disconnect when the link is no longer needed.

Good luck.
Tom
