Music Library Work Today

Saturday, November 20th, 2004

Dear [Ann],

Working on the music files today. In adding the beats-per-minute values to the songs, I found that the tags had an incorrect frame in them. So I wrote a little program to run through all 34,500 songs and fix it. Will probably take 30 hours to run.

But all else is well, and nothing else is going on here.

Drawer Gluing

Friday, November 19th, 2004

Dear [Ann],

I wrote a while this morning, but glued a broken chest drawer together this afternoon. There’s a missing piece however, and I have to find a piece of wood to fashion into something similar to that missing piece.

Good Morning, Good Morning!

Friday, November 19th, 2004

Dear [Ann],

Yes, I’m writing. I just got back from getting a haircut. A little sleepy, as I work up at 5:00 this morning, lifted weights, and wrote a bit as well.

Good luck on the blood work.

No, I got rides to and from. The barber himself took me there, then one of his customers brought me home.

The arm is somewhat better, yes, but not completely. I must nurse it a bit longer.

I was up early this morning because I ate too late last night.

Not sure about Mom. No definite plans. I’m just playing it by ear.

What would you do to my arm?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Chat Line Was Quiet

Thursday, November 18th, 2004

Dear [Ann],

I called in at 9:00 and no one was there, Waited for about 5 minutes. Still, no one came. What time did you get on?

I got about 700 words written today. About average.

Updating Carl: 2004-11-18

Thursday, November 18th, 2004

Carl,

All is well. I’ve talked with [Jack] and [Ray]. That’s all.

Writing and Djing are going well. Did another wedding earlier this month and they loved the musical selection.

Happy birthday, early, and hope you have a good Thanksgiving.

I’ll just be hanging around here for the holidays. No camp winter retreat this year. Not enough people signed up. Too bad too, because that was always so much fun. Oh well, perhaps next year, more people will want to attend.

Well, I’m off to bed. Take care and I’ll talk to you later.

Today’s Plans

Thursday, November 18th, 2004

Dear [Ann],

Hope your arm doesn’t get infected. Keep an eye on it.

Mmmmmmmm.

I’m going to write today. My left wrist and shoulder are still sore, so I have to defer lifting the weights another day. Hopefully, they’ll be better tomorrow.

Later,
Tom

New York’s Expensive

Tuesday, November 16th, 2004

Dear [Ann],

Yes, it is expensive. However, when [Mentat] went to CA, they raised his Social Security payments to account for that. I have to call them and see if I’d be eligible for such an increase.

If I lived with you, where would I sleep? [your daughter's old] room? And, would you have any problems with me dating women?

Dreaming About New York

Tuesday, November 16th, 2004

Hi [Ann].

My tooth feels better. It’s not hurting at all today. I’m hoping it will heal on its own, and prove what I believe, that the body has amazing recuperative powers if given the chance. So I’m going to hold off on having the crown drilled out again for now, especially if it will save me $700,

I was thinking that the text message you received was from AT&T. :-)

Still haven’t talked to Mom yet. It’s coming though. I’m seriously considering moving to New York City. I want to connect with a few people up there and hear their stories and insights about the place first, before the decision is finalized. But I feel a strongly drawn to it. Will have to see if I can afford it.

You heard back from the mortgage company yet?

Music Talk

Sunday, November 14th, 2004

[Mentat],

Thanks for the info. I have yet to upgrade to Outlook 2003 on (this) my main computer.

Actually, I have Disco Lucy already, on a 33 & 1/3 LP record. So, I probably wouldn’t buy a whole CD just for that song. But if it shows up on the collection CDs I get now and then, that would be great.

Don’t have a song called “Back In My Life Again” by the Carpenters, although I do have 45 songs by the Carpenters altogether. Maybe your song is called something else.

I never heard Karen’s disco album. I don’t have it. No, I don’t think she’d do disco well. Probably too inhibited. But if I ever come across it at a flea market for cheap, maybe I’ll get it to see what it sounds like.

Tid Bits to Ann

Thursday, November 11th, 2004

Dear [Ann],

Yep, [I'm in a] better mood.

You need to fix me up with Diane. I’ll get her off your back. :-)

Meeeeoooooowwwww!

Actually, I like Ginger too, because she purrs so loud once she really gets going.

Well, it probably wouldn’t be good to call [Diane] out of the blue. Perhaps, you could show her a picture of me first, and tell her that I’d like to call her. If she says yes, then I’ll call.

Yea, that’s a tough one. Mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm.
