No Women Yet

Thursday, December 9th, 2004

Dear [Ann],

Nope. No woman. I’ve just been busy writing this software for Tommy’s Tunes, an finishing up the wiring for the roof de-iceing heaters. There’s probably about another two hours of outside work to be done. Hopefully, that will be finished by the time the snow flies.

Don’t know what to say about [your daughter]. My own take on it is if she’d get on a good diet (one that excludes added sugars and refined carbohydrates), she’d go a long way toward getting better.

Updating Tad

Tuesday, December 7th, 2004

Dear [Tad],

Yep, Rich is having his party on Saturday, Dec. 18th. I guess we won’t see you there this year. Thanks anyway. I’ll make other arrangements.

We did pretty well on the alumni tickets. I won, three times! :) I believe there were only 15 tickets unsold. However, I don’t have the profit numbers. Tony has that info. You didn’t win anything (for once). However, perhaps someone you sold tickets to won. I only have the winners’ names, but not who sold the tickets to them. Again, perhaps Tony knows that.

I’m still in contact with [Mentat]. I’ll mention to him that you said hello.

Things are going well here. I’ve Djed a couple weddings over the past few months, so business is picking up a little. Also, I’ve written some Windows software to improve the music retrieval capabilities on the computer, and the total song count right now is 34,530.

I was dating a prima ballerina from Pittsburgh a month or so in October. I was on the verge of falling in love with her, but she pulled away unexpectedly, and without explanation. She just stopped returning my calls. She’s originally from Romania, and had immigrated to this country some 14 years ago.

But she’s had trouble finding good-paying, full-time work here. So now, she’s quite disillusioned with the US, and wants to go back to Europe. However, since she’s not working full-time, she’s unable to afford the move. I think she was hoping that I’d move to Europe and take her with me. When I told her I wasn’t ready to make such a move, especially only after a month of knowing her, she became distant, and now, won’t return my calls or emails. But hey, that’s the breaks.

Well, gotta get back to work, so I’ll talk to you later. Take care, and say hi to [Morra], and Roxy. :)

Hi Carl: 2004-12-06

Monday, December 6th, 2004

Carl,

I’ve heard from [Jack] recently. That’s all.

However, I wondered if you have a phone number or email address for [Ronda]? I’d like to keep in touch with her. She gave me an address last summer, but unfortunately, it was misplaced.

Lodging for Parker’s Party

Monday, December 6th, 2004

[Tad],

How’s it going? I had heard that [your wife] was having some health problems earlier this year, and hope she’s over them and back to her old self.

Anyway, I’m getting ready to make my annual trip to Pittsburgh for Parker’s Christmas party, and wondered if I might stay with you for a few days. I’d be there Saturday the 18th, and leave sometime on Tuesday, the 21st of December. I have some business at the bank on Monday to take care of for the alumni, thus the other reason for my trip.

Well, let me know what you think.

Chat Line

Sunday, December 5th, 2004

Dear [Ann],

Yep, I was on the chat line. We missed you. But you know, it’s a peculiar thing that   [Barney]   was not on the line, and neither were you. Hmmm, I wonder what sinister conclusions we could draw from that set of circumstances?

*snicker*

Watch Out for Strangers

Friday, December 3rd, 2004

Dear [Ann],

No, I just wasn’t thinking. Whenever I think of Christmas, I’m overcome with this insatiable urge to sing that song [Grandma Gor Run Over by a Reindeer]. So last night, I was just overcome by the moment. :-) You believe that.

Good luck on the guy front. Be careful. You’re right. You never do know someone well until you’ve spent lots of time talking. Even then, it’s not a sure thing. But at least by talking for some time, you’ve done due diligence to protect yourself.

Later,
Tom

Frosty the Snow Man

Wednesday, December 1st, 2004

Dear [Ann],

This is going to be shown this coming Friday night on CBS, at 8:00 PM. Frosty Returns is at 8:30, I think.
