Weight Control: 2005-01-10
Well, I blew two days. I ate refined carbs in them. Mom made some beef and noodles the day before yesterday. I had them that day and yesterday too. Just too good to avoid. But, I still have not violated my no-added-sugar rule for this year. I have given up added sugar completely. And I know avoiding it will be much harder than avoiding snuff and alcohol was, But I am determined to make this a reality. No more candy bars, no more Good ‘n Plenties, No more sweetened drinks, No more chocolate. I am bound and determined to make this happen.
So that means that we have seven good days in on this year so far and two bad days. And as long as I don’t add more than about five bad days this month, I’ll still be on target for the goal for the year. So let’s be good for the rest of this month,
Also, in addition to giving up the sugar and minimizing my flour intake, I want to cut back on portion sizes too. No more will I eat three fajitas. I’ll eat at most two from now on. We’re going to hopefully cut down on that too. Ideally, I’d like to be satiated with just one. Plus, whenever I have these salads, I’ll just have half a cup of oat meal in them instead of one cup, because I had a half-cup in it today that was quite fulfilling. So I’m cutting down.
I’m back on my diet and started the food diary again today. So far, I had 340 calories on the day. Hopefully, I’m not going to have any more than about 800.
