[Lex],

All is very well here. We had nice holidays. All the immediate family visited Christmas eve, and so far, the new year looks like it’s going to be a good one.

However, I injured my left wrist in November, while lifting weights, and it’s going to take some time to get it back to normal again. Not sure how long. I have to visit the orthopedic specialist about it on January 31st. Hopefully, the symptoms won’t be permanent.

Well, [Rick] doesn’t know how to respect others. He’s exceedingly selfish and underhanded in how he talks about people behind their backs. He tried to break up a romance I had going a year ago. That coupled with how he acted this past August at my alumni convention made my decision to stop dealing with him altogether, an easy one to make. No more [of him] for me. There’s just entirely too much friction surrounding him. He’s always arguing with someone about something. He’s a “know-it-all” who actually knows very little, and it is my New Years resolution to avoid him from now on. I’m with you on that.

[Jack] and I are scheduled to talk on the phone in about an hour. Haven’t talked to him since mid-December, so it sure will be nice to catch up with him.

Also, I’m chatting with a lady from the Rawhurst section of Philly who seems very nice. We haven’t seen each other yet. So I’m not getting my hopes up. But still, I can’t help but get just a little excited about what the future may bring for she and I. Wish me luck. :-)

So, thanks for writing, and hope your new year brings you prosperity, good health, and happiness. Take care, and stick to your resolution about [Rick]. You don’t need a toxic person like that in your life. None of us do.

Later,
Tom
