iPod Vs. Other MP3 Players

Well, Ipod and mp3 aren’t competing technologies. Ipod is actually an MP3 player with a hard drive in it to store the MP3s on. You can connect it to a PC (via a FireWire cable) and download music files to it that way. It comes in 5, 10, and 20 GB sizes.

One great feature of the iPod is its vast music storage capability – much more than the smaller portable MP3 players like the Nomad Rios. But, the battery life on the ipod is probably shorter, since the hard drive must be kept spinning (the Nomads don’t have a hard drive, but then, don’t hold nearly as much music either). Plus, you can use the Ipod like an additional external hard drive for your PC to back up any files (not just the music ones). Can’t do that with the Nomads easily.
