Carl,

Everything’s going fine.

[Emmy] is here visiting for the weekend, and we’re meeting up with [Ron] on Monday at Delgrosso’s park.

Haven’t heard from any campers or counselors lately.

[Ronda],

Well, how’d the summer go in Maine? You’re probably back at school by now. Hope it was every bit the experience you hoped for. We sure missed you at BLC this year. They didn’t do the ten-mile hike this time. Instead, we went on an eight-mile one up past the sawmill at McVay’s place if you remember where that was (just past the pond, like you’re going to the overnight a-frames, but instead of gong right at the Y, you go left. We walked a ways down that way.

Anyway, hope this letter finds you in good health, and that you’ll write when you can.

Take care, and will talk to you soon.

Tom

[Kandi],

It’s Tom Hesley. Well, you’re probably back at school by now. This summer just went sooooooo fast. Thanks for working at BLC for another summer. This was probably your last? Hope you enjoyed yourself. It was great seeing you again.

If you wouldn’t mind, how about sending along your phone number. You probably have a new one this year, don’t you? Perhaps we could talk about the Bible. There are several passages in Job that confuse me. You might understand them better.

Well, take care, and best wishes for a successful senior year at Messiah.

Later,
Tom
