Emmy and Dogs
Dear [Emmy],
All is well here. Nothing new. Just having my first cup of mint tea of the day. I hope to finish up this philosophy book sometime today.
Thanks for the encouragement on the speech. I think it will go okay.
You wrote ‘stoppes’ below. Did you mean ‘stops’ ? 
No, I wouldn’t want you to be totally reliant on me. That would drive me bonkers.
However, I probably wouldn’t mind a dog so long as you leave him at home when we go out together. I wouldn’t mind you relying on me when we’re on dates. Again, this would really depend on the personality of the dog. If he’s well behaved, I could easily handle him accompanying us.
