Checking In With Mentat
Dear [Mentat],
Okay, I’ll try and call you Thursday or Friday evening.
Things have been busy here too. Lots of home maintenance projects. I’ve been doing extensive plumbing lately, as well as growing the Tommy’s Tunes music library. I now have 40200 songs. Also, I’ve stopped producing 256 KBPS .MP3 files for the collection. The new standard is 128K BPS .MP4 files. They sound extremely close to CD quality. In fact, they may even sound better than my 256KBPS Mp3s. If you’ve ever purchased music from ITunes, they use MP4 (or at least, a variation of it, M4P, which is Protected-MP4, or MP4 that incorporates digital rights management. More about that later. And finally, I’ve experienced numerous hardware problems this year from failed computer fans, to two music hard drives and a router. Fortunately however, I found replacements for all of these pretty cheap on Ebay. Yes, I’m now an Ebay junkie.
Anyway, I’ll fill you in on all this when we chat.
Talk to you soon,
Tom
