Month in Review: 2006-06-30

Friday, June 30th, 2006

This month, I spent practically all my computer time buying and selling on eBay. I love it; but I appear obsessed. Need to pull away from it. It’s costing too much money.  :-)

Arranging Emmy’s Visit

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

[Emmy],

The reservation number is zzzzzz

You’ll be departing Harrisburg this Friday, June 30th on train #43, which leaves at 1:40PM, arriving in Altoona at 4:06 PM. We’ll be there to pick you up.

Then, you’ll be returning home on Sunday, July 9th, leaving Altoona at 3:49 AM and arriving at Harrisburg at 6:45 PM.

I told them that you’d need assistance getting on and off the train. Just let them know that when you get to the station.

Later,
Tom

Computer Crash: 2006

Saturday, June 3rd, 2006

Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you. But I had a computer crash to deal with. I purchased Norton System Works 2006 last Wednesday. However, when I installed it on this computer, it said that it needed to reboot. When I did so, no boot! The boot sector on my hard drive became corrupt, and the people at Norton couldn’t get me back up and running. So, I had to start over and build this hard drive up from scratch. Good thing I had backups of my important data. :-)

Yes, I still want the resistors. Would you send me a total, and I’ll pay you right away.

Oh, and yes, when you get back to work, would you send me that tracking number? Yours was one of the emails I lost during this crisis.

Thanks,
Tom
