Updating Cher

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

Howdy [Cher].

All is well here. Nothing new to report. I’m up 2000 more songs since we last corresponded — 45,000 now.

Also, I keep busy writing software for my DJ computers. My latest project is a dynamic link library (DLL) that will allow display of data from mpeg-4 audio files in Windows Explorer, as well as to index them with Microsoft’s indexing service, for lightning-fast search capabilities, again in Windows Explorer.

I hope all is well with you and that you’re keeping busy and happy.

Later,
Tom

Plastic Water Bottles

Monday, October 23rd, 2006

[Angie],

Yes, I’m receiving your emails.

The material that bottled water comes in is called Lexan – also known as phosgene. This is used in those large water bottles (2 or 5 gallon) that you can have delivered. I’m not sure what the smaller, hand-held watter bottles are made of.

Well, enjoy your meeting with the Lions. It’s nice that you’re interested in Lionism.

Take care,
Tom
