Eating During The Night

Dear [Melinda],

Well, OK. Perhaps eating during the night will be too difficult for you to give up at present. Don’t worry. Try some of the numerous other ideas we’ve been discussing. Some of them are bound to work for you. Some will be easier to implement than others.

But be gentle on yourself though, because it goes without saying that you’ll not be able to execute all of them all of the time. My own diet is not perfect, although compared to 1995, it’s much better. Eating habits are among the most difficult to change (ranking right up there with quitting smoking), and changing them is typically fraught with failures and setbacks. Forgive yourself for these, and keep resolving to do better. You’ll get there.

So, do you want to have a marathon talk this weekend?  :-)    Last weekend was fun.
