Weight Loss Tips
Dear [Melinda],
Oh, no no no! No diet pills! The best foods to eat for a diet, and even not for a diet are:
- Whole Grains (Brown and wild rice, wheat & oat groats, barley, rolled oats, wheat berries, millet, Etc.)
- Fruits
- Vegetables
- Beans
- Seeds (Sesame, Caraway, Sunflower, Poppy, Etc.)
- Nuts (a handful a day)
You need to develop a healthy skepticism regarding any pills you ingest, especially if you’re going to be taking them over the long term (like diet pills, sleep aids, and such). Just about any of these drugs will increase your liver’s workload, and impair the effectiveness of drugs you may need to take later to get over severe illnesses. So if you do not  really  need ‘em, don’t take ‘em.
Try eating light lunches (ones low in refined carbs). This may reduce your tiredness in the afternoon. Generally speaking, holding your daily calorie intake to between 1000 and 1500 will reduce feelings of fatigue. You may actually find that you have  more  energy when you eat less.
Finally, you need to swear off of eating during the night. Of course, in order to do that, you have to eat the right foods for supper, in enough quantity to keep you satiated until the next morning, but not so much that you’ll be awake at 3 AM. What to eat and how much really depends on the person. So again, experimentation will help you figure this out. A good rule of thumb to follow when eating any meal is to eat only enough to stop the hunger, and not so much that you feel full. You’ve eaten too much whenever you feel stuffed.
