Getting Ride to Camp

Just testing your email address.  Reply and let me know when you get this.

On to the camp schedule: I’ll need you to drive [Emmy] and myself there on Saturday, July 7th, 2007.  We need to arrive at camp between 11:30 AM and NOON.  Then, on Wednesday July 18th, 2007, between 11:30 and NOON, we’ll need you to come to camp again and drive us back here to Altoona.

I’ll remind you once a month at least, until then.  Let me know as early as possible should you determine that you can’t make these dates.

WHPA and WALY FM

Yes, the oldies station (WHPA) at 93.5 in Hollidaysburg is still playing. Mom listens to them frequently in her car.

WALY FM is at 103.9.

This WRKY is at 104.9, and they play classic rock (Guess Who, The Who, AC DC, George Thorogood, Etc.).

Didn’t there used to be a WRKY FM in Steubenville, Ohio? Well, there’s one here in Altoona now at 104.9 FM. That’s the first time I’ve ever heard a new station getting the same call letters as an older one.

Parker Still On Answering Machine

Dear [Mentat],

Will do. I’ll check the Star Trek out.

Oh, wanted to tell you that I set up a wireless network here. The signal goes all over the house and it’s useable down at my pavilion, although it’s quite weak that far away. So I’m looking at purchasing a more powerful access point (radio transceiver). It’s fun listening to Internet radio down there. It’d be so cool if they made a portable Internet radio in a boom box configuration. I suppose I could buy an iPod. But do they have WiFi capability?

Wow, that sounds rather morbid – [Parker's wife] still using [his] answering machine [greeting]. But she’s probably too busy with other stuff to worry about technical issues like that.   :-)
