Dear Altar
[Altar],
All is well here. Mom is doing better – not falling asleep as much during the day, although she still has some fluid build-up around her ankles. That’s a classic symptom of heart problems. She’s supposed to have valve-replacement surgery to correct this. But I think she’s afraid, and is currently thinking that she won’t have it. We’ll just have to wait and see what she decides.
Yes, [Emmy] is coming here on Sunday and will spend a few weeks. With all her wrist problems, she definitely needs some tender loving care.Â
Hopefully I can convince her to take it easy on the wrist while she’s here.
[Emmy]Â mentioned that you and Lisa had a sort of falling out and that Lisa had snapped at you for advising her to take things easy. Yep. That sounds like Lisa. When she and I dated, she was quite the fiery pistol.Â
Oh well. Hopefully Lisa was just a bit frazzled with school. Perhaps she’ll treat you better once she’s finished.
I’m happy that you’re doing well in Philly, although I must say that in light of recent news reports about Philadelphia being the murder capital of the US, I’m glad I don’t live there anymore. I do however, still miss it and the accessibility it offers. But I’ve gotten somewhat used to the limited accessibility I have here, and actually, I rather enjoy being away from all the noise and bustle of the city. When I visit [Emmy] in Pittsburgh, I satisfy whatever big-city cravings I still have. Â
So I doubt I’ll ever return to Philly. But it’s nice to know that I’ll still be able to see my Philly friends at camp and keep in touch with [them] via email.
Well, take care. Thanks for writing. I have to get going back to work on my music library. I have 48960 songs now – getting very close to that 50,000 mark. By next summer, I hope to have at least 52000 songs. Stay tuned for further updates.
Tom
